Solar panels mounted on a small trailer positioned on a grassy field with cloudy sky in the background.
Where we started
In 2002, Henry Stahl, looking for new business opportunities, started welding small orders of panels around the Cleardale area. Soon the word got out and business was off at a steady pace. Welding and pipe fitting equipment expansions happened soon after.
The business grew with an additional three full-time welders producing the famous 5'2'' panel that ClearFab is now well known for.
With more people turning to ClearFab for farm and ranch equipment, the lineup of different pieces soon emerged. Windbreak panels, round pens, feed bunks, bale feeders, and new product ideas emerging as the business grew.
Most recently the newest addition to the ClearFab lineup is the Solar Water Buggy. Working directly with customers to improve the design, it is one of the best sellers in our lineup.
A pipe-cutting profiler has been added to the lineup of shop equipment–working with Watts Specialties (Washington US). Henry started in a 35' by 24' shop and is now operating with over 12,000 sq ft. and plans for an additional 3.5 acre pipe yard.
ClearFab Manufacturing continues to grow through the next generation and is proud to be a 'grass roots' innovator for Canadian Agricultural Steel Products.
RECYCLED FENCES – Henry Stahl of the Cleardale Colony in Alberta’s Peace River region welds sucker rods to make portable livestock fences. The colony brought in four truckloads of oilfield sucker rods to make fences for its own use and to sell.
